Stories of Light and Life for the Scottish Bible Society
Directed by Alasdair Wallace, filmed, & edited by Mark Winterlin
Back in June 2022, I spent a week travelling all over Scotland meeting people and filming stories for the Scottish Bible Society. We got to meet some incredible people from all walks of life. We aimed to share stories of what the Lord is doing across Scotland- now that the pandemic is (hopefully) subsiding, where is the Lord moving and working?
We started in Gairloch, a small village in the North West Highlands. They are home to Britain’s smallest radio station. And on that station every morning a small group of local Christians has decided to read the Bible on air, a few verses every day. And what we learned from them was inspiring.
From there, we drove across the Cairngorms to Kirkcaldy, in Fife. We met Alanna Carson, who had a truly unique story of how the Lord had sustained her through a dark time in her life.
We finished the trip by spending the day in Glasgow with Ali Forbes. He shared with us how his chronic fatigue enabled him to rest deeply in the Lord’s provision, and how it even had opened up some unique evangelism opportunities.
